settlement

Land Grants, warrants, early deeds, trails and roads, pioneer architecture and construction techniques, tools, subsistence agriculture, herbal medicine, frontier crafts, and the local early history of slavery are included in this section of study. We feel very fortunate to have an original 1850′s cabin reconstructed inside the museum and a display cabinet of household items used in Carroll County during it’s developing phase.
